Te Mata Peak, set 399 metres above Havelock North offers well established trails and you can guarantee that your legs will be burning on the climbs and your eyes popping on the fast descents.

Your guided tour starts from Havelock North village, where you will meet your Guide and get kitted out with bike & helmet (if required) from here you will following a web of trails to the Tauroa Road  car park and start exploring.

A must do and your first mission is to ride right to the top (the trig station) where you have 360 degree views of Hawke’s Bay. From here take in the sights of the coast (Waimarama & Ocean Beach), Te Awanga, Napier Hill, Mahia, Ruahine & Kaweka Ranges, as well as Mount Ruapehu.

From here your guide will lead you down a number of the trails taking you down exposed hillside terrain and through native bush.

Within your guided time you will get to experience a variety of the trails on offer and possibly the favourites a couple of times.
